JAMB releases 2024 UTME results; withholds results of 64,624 candidates; 76% score below 200

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre owners to arrest any parent found near any of their facilities during the 2024 UTME exercise. The order was given by the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Prof. Isaq Oloyede, during a virtual meeting he had on Wednesday with operators and owners of the CBT centres. In a statement by the spokesman of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the step is to prevent some parents from intruding into the conduct of the exam. Also, candidates of parents found to breach the directive and intrude would also be disqualified from writing the exam. “This measure is necessary as it has been discovered over time that many of these intruding parents are facilitators of examination infractions while others have, by their actions, disrupted the Board’s examinations in the past. All married female Prospective Corps members (PCMs) who are deployed to States where their husbands are not domiciled should report to the nearest NYSC Orientation Camp for their State of Deployment to be changed.  They are to report during the period of registration at the Orientation Camps with the copies of their marital and other relevant documents as evidence. Once the change is made it will reflect on their dashboard for reprinting.

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has informed the general public, especially prospective corps members of the sequence of its mobilization for the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Orientation Course. The Scheme announced that the orientation course will commence nationwide on Wednesday, 17th April, 2024. The 2024 UTME Notification Slip, which shows candidates the date, venue and time of their examination, is ready for printing, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced. All candidates, who have registered for the 2024 UTME scheduled to commence on Friday, 19th April, 2024, are urged to print their Notification Slips before Friday, 19th April, 2024 to know the date, venue and time of their respective examinations as well as some other vital information regarding the examination.
