The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre owners to arrest any parent found near any of their facilities during the 2024 UTME exercise. The order was given by the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Prof. Isaq Oloyede, during a virtual meeting he had on Wednesday with operators and owners of the CBT centres. In a statement by the spokesman of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the step is to prevent some parents from intruding into the conduct of the exam. Also, candidates of parents found to breach the directive and intrude would also be disqualified from writing the exam. “This measure is necessary as it has been discovered over time that many of these intruding parents are facilitators of examination infractions while others have, by their actions, disrupted the Board’s examinations in the past. All married female Prospective Corps members (PCMs) who are deployed to States where their husbands are not domiciled should report to the nearest NYSC Orientation Camp for their State of Deployment to be changed.  They are to report during the period of registration at the Orientation Camps with the copies of their marital and other relevant documents as evidence. Once the change is made it will reflect on their dashboard for reprinting.

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has informed the general public, especially prospective corps members of the sequence of its mobilization for the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Orientation Course. The Scheme announced that the orientation course will commence nationwide on Wednesday, 17th April, 2024. The 2024 UTME Notification Slip, which shows candidates the date, venue and time of their examination, is ready for printing, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced. All candidates, who have registered for the 2024 UTME scheduled to commence on Friday, 19th April, 2024, are urged to print their Notification Slips before Friday, 19th April, 2024 to know the date, venue and time of their respective examinations as well as some other vital information regarding the examination. The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results. The examination body also said that it blacklisted two supervisors in Oyo and Lagos states and one examination centre in Borno state for being involved in examination malpractices in the 2023 SSCE external. NECO’s Registrar/Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi disclosed this while briefing journalists in Minna during the release of the 2023 SSCE external results. According to him, the two supervisors were blacklisted for poor supervision, inability to control the candidates, and aiding and abetting while the centre in Borno was blacklisted for aiding and abetting for sharing WhatsApp messages with candidates. Wushishi said that 8,518 candidates were booked for various forms of malpractices, adding that the examination malpractices cases included two centers in Kaduna and Ogun states involved in whole center cases. Before I show you how to print call up letters, kindly note that, the moment NYSC uploads the call up letter on the portal, the NYSC site will begin to irritately process data at a very very slow rate.  To login to your dashboard will take a longer time, some won't be able to login to see their deployed state.  This is so because of the number of people logging in at the same time, thereby causing traffic on the NYSC portal.  So my advice is, you have to be patient by then, you can wait for 3 hours after call up letter is released to check.  Checking quickly does not change anything, some check after a day.  So am giving you this tip in advance, don't start bringing pressure on the group or my DM for not being able to check.
